 PRAYER ROOM

The Prayer Room is the center of activities of the Liberdade Rio House of Prayer, which is open to the public during the shifts that take place day and night. The Prayer Room functions to reflect the Spirit of the Tabernacle of David (1 Chr. 9:33; 22-24), a place where we do not wish to stop raising incense and worship before the Lord on behalf of the place where we
are situated: The largest open-air area of prostitution in Latin America and on behalf of our nation.

We move longing for only one thing (Ps 27:4) and understand that the House of the Lord is the place where we can contemplate His Beauty and receive knowledge of His affections and desires for our city and country, and thus pray back what is in their heart, until it is on earth as it is in heaven. And we want to build a place for God's Presence to dwell, where He will feel free to be totally as He is, so we do not want to give rest - neither day nor night, worshipping Him and standing before His Gracious Throne until His presence makes abode among us.

Psalms 132:1-5
Lord, remember David, all his afflictions; how he swore to the Lord and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob, saying I will not enter into the house where I dwell, nor lie in the bed where I sleep: I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor rest to mine eyelids, until I find a place for Jehovah, an abode for the Mighty One of Jacob.

Everyone is welcome to come and freely remain in the prayer room as long as they wish. While in the Prayer Room, feel free to join in the corporate singing, read the Bible, study your favorite Bible commentary, write in your devotional diary, or engage in personal prayer. You can sit, stand, or walk from one corner of the room to the other. Regardless of what you
do, we ask that the central focus be on honoring and serving others in the room.

THE MODEL - PRAYER AND WORSHIP

Our format is based on the heavenly image we see in Revelation 5, which talks about harps and bowls - worship and prayer. In the harp and bowl prayer model, we use two basic formats, through our daily hours of activities in the prayer room, we divide into two hours of intercessory prayer (or set as we call it) and worship with the word, we also have the
devotional shifts with one hour each.

INTERCESSION SET
This is a more dynamic set, while the whole room can engage with the songs and prayers so that everyone helps in the prayer shift event. Generally the prayer leader has prayer focuses and people in the room are welcome to pray in the microphone for a common weight to all through the apostolic prayers or prophetic decrees that can be addressed to the city of Rio de Janeiro or by circumstances that are happening in the world and such people involved. We also have cycles of "quick shot prayers" when intercessors go to the microphone to pray a succession of 15-second prayers on a specific theme, and there may also be groups of two or three praying for a specific theme that is a response to a
weight being generated in the room.

Intercession set are on Mondays (4pm to 6pm) and Tuesdays (8pm to 10pm)

WORSHIP WITH THE WORD
Is a prayer format in which we agree with God’s heart as we sing the biblical truths of who God is and what His promises are. These sessions are more devotional in nature, providing an atmosphere conducive to reading the Bible and entering
into contemplative or devotional prayer.

Worship with the Word set is on Mondays (12 noon to 2pm) and Tuesdays (6pm to 8pm).
